The Many Ways Web Visitors Affect a Site

There are a few different important ways that getting more website visitors to your webpage can affect you. First off you need visitors to come to your website to get anything done. There might be a few different reasons that you are running a website but everything ends up revolving around getting more people to your website. Everyone is after something specifically; some websites are after money for example. They want to sell a product or a service and they need people to come to them and buy it from them. That is definitely the most basic form of a website because it revolves around mainly accomplishing two things. They want to sell their product, so they need to first get you to want it, then ultimately sell it to you. How Search Intent Determines Your SEO

Search intent is something that isn't talked about very much by many SEO companies, but it can impact your SEO in a major way. Have you ever searched for something in Google but couldn't find what you were looking for? It's as if website owners, and even Google itself, is not understanding what your intent is. This can be very frustrating for users. When you design websites, and then market those sites, you have to keep this in mind. Take "insurance," for example. If you run an insurance website, you have to know what your users want. If you write articles on car insurance, life insurance, or even homeowners insurance, there are specific keywords that your potential site visitors will use to get to your website. If you set up your SEO strategy so that "insurance" is your target keyword, you'll have to work really hard to get ranked for that keyword. The problem is that "insurance" doesn't tell you...

Google Found Guilty of Buying Links, Penalizes Itself

It looks like Google is off to a rough—and ironic—start this year. The search giant, which is known for its strict policies against buying links and publishing low-quality content, was recently caught breaking its own rules, Search Engine Land reported. According to the popular SEO blog on Monday, a search for "This post is sponsored by Google" returns over 400 pages, all written in line with a Google Chrome Marketing campaign. Search Engine Land's Danny Sullivan found that lot of these "sponsored posts" contained a video advertisement for the browser, together with supposed articles or reviews about Google Chrome. What's fishy about them though is that most of the posts contain "thin content" –the very type of content that Google's Panda update aims to curtail. The articles may have a sentence or two with the term "Google Chrome," but the essence of their content doesn't really say much...
